Saturday....
Amazing things have happened in the kitchen this week
Most importantly though, we added a new Monkey to the kitchen... Stay tuned to find out more about her....
- We have internet, wireless routed, faser than Catholic sinner to confession on a sunday snap snap snappy internet! And i am completely enamoured!
- Our friends over at Lost Cabin Vintage did a little piece on us for their new Meet the Maker feature, not only did the make our stock look 'AMAZEBALLS' but you get to know a bit more about su and how we tick
- Milli and i painted, oh did we paint, we painted the sofa, the balcony, the table and chairs... and once miss was done, i cleaned it all off with a nice blue chucks rag... ahhh i love water soluable poster paint!
- I managed to keep a secret... yes me! Motor Mouth/Madi Foot in Mouth/Sh who cant keep a secret... it's impressive to all those who know me well.
Most importantly though, we added a new Monkey to the kitchen... Stay tuned to find out more about her....

Serious Blog Neglect!
Ok, so one of my new years resolutions was to pay more attention to our blog.... that has worked out not so well... but now we finally have internet set up in the house (after almost 3 years of not having it at home) i deciedeit's probably a good idea to start getting my butt into gear! Especially seeing that i have lots of lovely friends here in blog land.
A quick M in the K update... We had our first market on Sunday, It came with such anticipation and excitement. The night before up until 11:30am finishing what we could, the following morning waking up at 6am to get there in time for set up. And then the first hour sitting there nervously waiting for someone to validate all our hard work by purchasing one of our creations... I can honestly say i took the day as it came, i was a little disappointed, yet relieved that people loved our stuff. I think it will just take a while for us to really get our name out there. Luckily enough we have some great M in the K followers who support us, and create some great hype!

Let's just say the aftermath is not a pretty one... i have so much cleaning up to do, and no desire to do it.
So that's been the excitement in a nutshell.. i'm off t vacumm the house for the 2nd time this week, note to self, milli is not to eat cheese sticks out of the high chair!

Jim Henson.... on speed
Hi Monkey land!
So, i'm at my mumma's place (after a quick shop at spotlight to get some christmas inspired fabric) and she says to me "you have to check out this guy on Etsy... his name is Astronuts" I've just lost my mind on this guy! He is one of a kind AMAZING!
Just thought he was worth the share!

WE LOVE CHRISTMAS!
Like as in seriously, honest to goodness, life is not worth living (ok maybe that's a bit extreme) love Christmas!
So to celebrate this love we're doing a give away a week until the fat man in the red suit's big day!
Head over to our facebook page and enter into our first comp. It's a simple but good one "If I won two sun bonnets I would share them with... Because..." There's is a piccie on Miss M (#3) in her Cherry Pop Sun Bonnet, simply fill a comment in and then cross ll ur fingers and toes that our judge likes your creative answer!
On another note - I'd just like to give a shout out to a special friend Lost Cabin Vintage. she's collaborated with Dinosaur Toes for an auction to raise money for a fabulous cause. So go check her out!!!
Anyways i must away #3 is tantrumming like a tooper! ah gosh i love that angry gurgle!

I'm sorry - for the neglect. You deserve better. Feel free to leave us if you wish but I endeavor to treat you better going forward. Am I forgiven? I've just been so busy with your friend Janome.

Lots has Changed! - And we love change!
Good Morning!
Monkeys in the Kitchen has staged a not-so-hostile takeover of "Little Darling". So the Kitchen Welcomes Monkey #2 Alexandra! So that makes us Monkeys three - Madi, Alex and the delighful Miss Milli (who is more of a muse than a sewer at 14 months).
We've admitedly neglected our Blog - instagram and facebook just seem to be a much more convenient form of communication these days. But going forward i promise to pay more attention to you dear Blog.
This week the kitchen has been abuzz with activity, preparing for the Augathella hospital Fete next weekend. Auga-where?!?! you may be asking?
Augathella - Population 500 (approx), a beautiful little town about 10 hours west of the not so sunny Sunshine Coast and about 1 hours North of Charleville. Home to the lovely Monkey #2's inlaws.
